The American Marten is a species of Marten found in, you guessed it, America (and canada). it is a species in the Martes genus and the Mustelidae Family, the same family as otters and Wolverines. The American Marten is closely related to the European Pine marten and the Sable. It, along with the European Pine Marten, are often referred to as just "Pine Marten"
